R.T. France Dies aged 83

Richard T. France (1928-2012)
I learned somewhat belatedly yesterday of the death R.T. France - see his obituary in The Telegraph. I corresponded with Dr France several times over the last ten years and he always seemed surprised that anyone would still find his older works of any use. I think he was mistaken in this:

R.T. France, "Exegesis in Practice: Two Examples," I. Howard Marshall, ed., New Testament Interpretation: Essays on Principles and Methods, 1977. Carlisle: The Paternoster Press, revised 1979. Pbk. ISBN: 0853644241. pp.252-281. Download here.

Proceedings of the Wesley Historical Society now on-line

I am now able to tell you all about the project I have been working since the beginning of January. The Proceedings of the Wesley Historical Society, which will be of great interest to anyone studying the Wesleys, Methodism and modern Church History are now available in PDF for free open access from Volume 1 (1897) to Volume 55 (2006) here. They complement the Tranactions of the Baptist Historical Society / Baptist Quarterly digitised and uploaded to the site last year.

I currently have two more major digitisation projects in hand, for which I am awaiting official permission to proceed. It looks like being a very busy year.
