An update on The Evangelical Quarterly Digitisation Project

I am making good progress with the digitisation of The Evangelical Quarterly. Having got up to the early 1980s I had the opportunity to purchase a run of issues from the 1960s that filled in the gaps in my collection for that decade, meaning that a number of articles which I already had permission to use could be put on-line. I have also corresponded with the new publisher of the journal, who has told me that he only has printed back-issues from 2009 onwards. This means that I should be able to offer digital copies up to the end of 2008 - subject to copyright approval from the authors of course. After that there will be a five-year delay before articles become available on-line.

The purchase of journals from a bookseller in the US, plus postage costs for borrowing copies from a UK library, bring the cost of the project to around £150 so far. Given the number of articles potentially available on-line at the completion fot he project this seems like good value for money. I will be taking a break from this for a few days now to work on another project.

You can see the progress so far here.
