With the kind assistance of the Librarian and volunteer staff at the Tyndale House Library in Cambridge I have now completed the table of contents for the Bulletin of the John Rylands Library, Manchester. The listing runs from the first issue in 1903 up to the end of 1992. Although this journal is still in production, after the early 1990's it ceased to include a significant amount of material relating to biblical studies. For this reason I stopped listing the contents at that point. Over the years the BJRL published many significant articles by such scholars as T.W. Manson, C.H. Dodd and F.F. Bruce.
The website biblicalstudies.org.uk provides free resources for students of the Christian Bible. New additions to that site are noted on this Blog along with other relevant material. biblicalstudies.org.uk is part of the Theology on the Web ministry. For more information, including how you can support the work of making good theological material available free of charge, please visit theologyontheweb.org.uk

Unusual Valentines Day Activity in the State of Georgia
I am great fan of the writings of Andreas Kostenberger and his article on Gender Roles in the New Testament is one of my favourites. However, I doubt if even I would want to download this over 112,000 times in the course of a single day. Oddly, this is what someone in Perry, GA, did on Valentines day and it mades me wonder whether there a connection in this person's mind between the day and choice of article.
I can think of no other explanation for this activity other than to interpret it as an attempted Denial of Service attack which has also greatly increased my monthly bandwidth costs. I have therefore removed the PDF file in question and replaced it with a link to an iPaper version, which can now be found here. I have also made by ISP aware of the situation in case this kind of activity occurs again. Has anyone else had a similar attack from this area recently?

Articles to Appear in iPaper Format
I plan to upload the majority of articles from now on in iPaper format with the option of also viewing and downloading in PDF. iPaper offers greater flexibility than PDF, requiries less bandwidth to view and works without the need of a browser plugin. Over time I will convert all current PDF to iPaper, starting with those which, according to my logs, consume the greatest bandwidth.
I would be interested in receiving your feedback regarding this.

Update on Article Translations
Last year I announced that I was looking for volunteers to translate some of the articles hosted on my websites into other languages. Since then progress has been slow, but I know have a few articles available in Filipino, Spanish and Romanian.
Last week I was approached by a retired Baptist missionary who formerly served in Brazil. He has kindly offered to translate around 50 articles into Portuguese to make them more accessible in South America. I have spent the last few days approaching publishers and authors for the neccessary permissions and translation work has already begun. Completed articles will appear on the BiblicalStudies.org.uk website shortly.

(Almost) Complete Set of Themelios Back Issues Now On-line
Thanks to the hard work of the folks at the Gospel Coalition almost all of the back-issues of the journal Themelios are now available on-line. I have now integrated these articles into the subject listings on my websites. As with Tyndale Bulletin (see below) this journal represents a tremendous resource for both students and Bible teachers. If you find any links that don't work, please report this to the Gospel Coalition.

Tyndale Bulletin Now On-line
I reported last year that Tyndale Bulletin would soon be available on-line to subscribers. Since then Dr Ted Hildebrandt of Gordon College has completed the huge task of scanning and proof-reading articles and, I am delighted to report, these all available free of charge up except for the last 3 years. Over the last few weeks I have been adding the links to my Table of Contents and the relevant subject listings.
Thanks to Tyndale House for making this tremendous resource available to all.
