Webmaster, you reference this as "a long post and helpful on 26 logical fallacies to be found in Brian McLaren's A Generous Orthodoxy. Well worth a read." The tag "heresy" is then added.
I am concerned at the prominence given to what seems to me an article which is not referenced in any way, with no academic credability and neither published in any professional context nor peer reviewed. It is not a book review in any ususal sense, and comes across as a sustained polemic attacking the book.
The tag "heresy" is a value judgement which surely is better to leave your readers to make on not, but not to label if you wish us to continue to use this site as a credible resource.

John O might well have better addressed the specific content of the article. It is, in my experience, an easy ploy to complain of the lack of footnotes and academic credibility, lack of professional publication, peer review. My goodness! It's a blog, dude!

Which of the 26 paragraphs/sections did you disagree with, and why?

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church reminding them to consider their calling. "Not many academics..." he might have written.

Of course "Heresy!" is a value judgment. What'dja expect, chicken 'n' dumplings?!
